According to the rules of the ABB:n vakuutuskassa, compensation cannot be paid in certain circumstances during a strike.
If an insured person falls ill during the strike and seeks treatment for his/her illness, no compensation will be paid for the illness. costs cannot be paid under the rules.
Point 20 of the ABB:n vakuutuskassa’s rules: ‘If a member falls ill while absent from work because of a work stoppage, furlough due to lack of work or for any reason other than sickness or childbirth, and does not receive pay during this period, they shall not receive the additional benefits provided for in section 14 of these rules for the period in question’.
If the insured person goes on strike, for example. for medical check-ups, examinations and treatment, to the dentist or to buy medicines from a pharmacy, but those visits are not due to illness during the strike, reimbursement will be paid as normal.
