Scope of the fund

he fund covers all the employees of ABB Oy, excluding salaried employees, who receive their main source of income from ABB Oy and are not insured under any other insurance or health insurance fund, as well as the salaried employees of this insurance fund.

 

Employees whose employment is intended to be temporary or of short duration (less than five months) are not covered by the fund.

 

It is the responsibility of the fund’s board to establish that the conditions of the insurance relationship have been met.

 

Insurance relationship

The fund’s insurance is compulsory for everyone within its scope. The insurance relationship is valid from the moment the premium is collected.

 

Employees with a fixed-term contract become covered by the fund if the employment relationship is known to continue for more than five months.

 

Employees receiving a part-time pension or partial disability pension also meet the conditions for an insurance relationship, provided that they derive their main income from paid employment.

 

The conditions of the insurance relationship are not met by employees on full-time rehabilitation subsidy or workers’ compensation pension, for example, even if the employment relationship with ABB Oy is still in force.

Insurance premium

The premium for the insurance fund is 1.4% of the wages, partial disability pension and part-time pension subject to the Prepayment Act.

Kela card: employer’s fund 12705

At the start of the insurance relationship, the insured person is sent a new Kela card with the words “Työpaikkakassa 12705” [employer’s fund 12705] on the back.

 

The fund has signed direct reimbursement agreements with several pharmacies and clinics.

 

You must present your Kela card when visiting any of these contract pharmacies or clinics.

  • After the end of the employment relationship
  • At the end of the insurance relationship, for example. due to studies or other unpaid leave (the employment relationship may remain in force)
  • During a period of temporary disability pension = rehabilitation subsidy or workers’ compensation pension (the employment relationship may remain in force)
  • For expenses caused by an accident at work or during commuting or an occupational disease (the invoice must be addressed to the insurance company where the employer’s insurance is from)
  • At the end of the employment relationship with ABB
  • At the end of the insurance relationship, due to e.g. studies or retirement
  • Kela will send a new card
  • If a person has used the Kela card with the fund’s number as a voucher contrary to the instructions, the fund will take action to recover the overpayment

Iriksen kautta pääset hakemaan korvauksia helposti, ja hakemusten ja liitteiden lähettäminen on turvallisempaa kuin normaalia sähköpostia käyttäen (hakemusten lähettämistä ei suositella sähköpostitse).

Pääset käyttämään Iristä kun pyydät ensin lupaa liittyä Irikseen. Pyynnön voit lähettää seuraavasti:

  • Mene osoitteeseen https://abb.omasairauskassa.fi
  • Kirjaudu Suomi.fi -palveluun omilla pankkitunnuksillasi
  • Vie omat tietosi ja laita rasti kohtaan ”Annan sairauskassalle luvan perustaa minulle profiilin Iris-asiointipalveluun. Hyväksymällä tämän sairauskassa liittää sinut sähköiseen korvauksenhakupalveluun.”

 

Pyynnön jälkeen kassalle tulee hyväksymispyyntö ja tunnukset avataan. Kun tunnukset on avattu, saat sähköpostiisi viestin Iris-palvelun käyttäjätunnuksen avaamisesta (kannattaa tarkistaa myös roskaposti). Mikäli et saa viestiä vuorokauden aikana (arkipäivinä), voit käydä kokeilemassa Irikseen kirjautumista.

ABB:n vakuutuskassa uses the Iris e-service

Iris makes it easy for you to claim reimbursement, and sending claims and attachments is safer than by using normal email (we do not recommend sending claims by email).

To access Iris, you must first request permission to sign up. You can submit your request as follows:

  • Go to https://abb.omasairauskassa.fi
  • Log in to Suomi.fi with your online banking credentials
  • Enter your details and tick the box “Annan sairauskassalle luvan perustaa minulle profiilin Iris-asiointipalveluun. Hyväksymällä tämän sairauskassa liittää sinut sähköiseen korvauksenhakupalveluun.” [I authorise the health insurance fund to set up a profile for me on the Iris e-service. When you accept this, the health insurance fund will sign you up to the electronic claim service.]

After the request, the fund will receive a request for approval and your account will be activated. Once your Iris account has been activated, you will receive an email about the activation (also check your spam folder). If you do not receive an email within 24 hours (on weekdays), you can try logging in to Iris.

If you already have an Iris account
